While in Austin this past weekend John, Joe Mande and I found almost all the locations from Friday Night Lights. John did his Buddy Garrity impression for most of the tour, which may account for why Joe only joined us on the first day of sight seeing. Yes, we did spend two days doing this.
oh my god.
This was my favorite thing to do when I first moved to Austin, still is, actually. I even made a google map of all (most) of the filming locations.
After Friday Night Lights
If you read After Friday Night Lights you will see how he constantly got screwed by others, particularly the movie people. He got a thousand bucks for his rights. I have helped him out the best I can. But his life has been a few ups and a lot of downs. What happens when you are treated as a football animal in high school. I will never forgive Odessa for what it did.
